You never imagined it would be this hard to get pregnant—or that you’d experience the deep grief of losing a pregnancy.

Once you make the decision that you want to become a mother, you envision what your life will look like when that day comes.

Every month that you get a negative pregnancy test is soul-crushing. You're living your life two weeks at a time, counting the days to ovulation and then the days until you can take a pregnancy test.

When the dream of growing your family  is interrupted by miscarriage, the grief feels unbearable. You're grieving not only what could have been but the future you were planning.

It feels like everyone around you is moving forward with the life you long for, while you are left in a holding pattern. The heartbreak makes each passing month even more painful.

Your friends and family can’t relate, even though they try. You’re tired of the unsolicited advice and the feeling that others don’t truly understand the depth of your pain.

You wonder if it's your fault, or you blame yourself even it you don't have all the answers yet.

Healing isn’t linear, but with the right support, you can process the grief of your unexpected journey.

What are the effects of Infertility and Loss?

Miscarriage and fertility struggles make you hyper-aware of the world around you, where everyone else seems to be moving forward, but you’re stuck.

These experiences impact every aspect of your life. The emotional pain and grief can feel never-ending, and you may find yourself constantly reliving the loss or disappointment. Physical symptoms, like exhaustion and tension, often accompany the mental strain, leaving you feeling worn down and disconnected.

Loss can also leave you questioning your body, your choices, and your future. You might feel isolated from loved ones, as their attempts to comfort you fall short or miss the depth of your pain. The disconnect between how you’re feeling and how the world seems to move forward only deepens your sense of isolation.

Whether grieving a pregnancy loss or enduring the repeated heartache of infertility, it’s common to feel hopeless and alone. The decisions around fertility treatments can be overwhelming, compounded by the stress of finances and the physical toll on your body.

And the grief—it’s always present, affecting how you show up in daily life, and altering how you view yourself, your relationships, and your future.

It’s no surprise that research shows women facing infertility often experience the same levels of anxiety and depression as those with life-threatening illnesses.

And yet, despite how common these experiences are—1 in 8 couples face infertility and 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage—it’s rarely discussed openly, which makes it feel even more isolating.

No wonder you feel like you're carrying this burden on your own.
