Therapy is an investment to prioritize yourself and improve your quality of life.

Are you committed to making change in your life that will make an impact on your family, and for the generations that will come after you?

When you are ready to move forward, I want you to know that I take your commitment very seriously.

50-minute individual session - $200

Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans as an in-network provider. Paying out-of-pocket for therapy gives us more control over the work we do. This is a great option for clients who want maximum confidentiality, flexibility, and more say in their treatment.

If you have a Flexible Savings Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you can also use those to pay for services.

What does it mean to commit to therapy with me?

  • Online sessions via a secure telehealth platform for your convenience. Many of my clients are moms juggling little ones at home or scheduling sessions during their lunch breaks at work. Telehealth is just as effective as seeing a therapist in-person.

  • Specialized training in perinatal and reproductive mental health. The use of specialized EMDR Therapy.

  • Coordination with other wellness providers to support your healing journey.

  • Knowing that I keep my caseload small so that I can practice what I preach. I value the quality of my work and limit my weekly sessions so that I have plenty of time to engage in consultation and further training to advance my clinical skills, self-care to ensure I show up fully for each client, and time with my family that keeps me grounded.

How to get started

01.
Book a Free Consult

We will meet for a free video consultation via my secure, HIPAA compliant platform. You will have the opportunity to discuss what has brought you into therapy, and I will answer any questions you may have. If we are a good fit to work together, we will move forward with scheduling an intake session.

02.
Collaboration & Connection

During the intake session we will get to know each other as I learn about your strengths and challenges. I will also want to know some background information about you. We will collaborate to create therapy goals that are important and relevant to you.

03.
Nurturing

We will meet for 50 minute sessions as I support you through your unique healing journey. We will celebrate the wins as you feel more confident, grounded, and find joy in your days. We will continue to re-evaluate your goals throughout treatment. I will also collaborate, with your permission, with other providers and healers involved in your care. Once you’ve met your therapy goals, we will celebrate your graduation from therapy.

FAQS

  • In some cases, you may be eligible to use your out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying each session in full at the time of the appointment. Upon your request, I can provide a receipt ("Superbill") that you can submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement.

  • Please know that not all insurance plans offer reimbursement. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may receive up to 60-80% reimbursement of the cost of each session. I recommend you contact your insurance directly to find out about your policy's mental health benefits.

  • I recommend contacting your insurance directly and ask them how to send the Superbills to them. Once you submit the Superbills, you will wait for reimbursement via check.

I recommend you ask your insurance the following questions:

    • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met this year?

    • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

    • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?

    • How much will I be reimbursed for a 50 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?

    • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

    • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

If you don't want to deal with contacting your insurance directly, you can utilize my partnership with Mentaya! I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Please ask about this feature during your free consultation call!

  • That's a great question. I choose to not be paneled directly with insurance because this allows us to get the most out of our treatment together while keeping as much confidentiality as possible.

I work with many clients who value confidentiality. Utilizing your insurance benefits is not a completely confidential process.

Additionally, insurance companies can dictate length of treatment, and require that you are diagnosed with a mental health disorder for therapy to be covered by insurance (even if you are using out-of-network benefits). A mental health diagnosis remains permanently on your health record.

Insurance companies also have the right to audit your chart and request access to your therapy notes, asking questions about your treatment.

Clients that choose not to use any insurance benefits appreciate that their sessions are confidential and that their records are secure. These clients also recognize that we have more flexibility over our work together, without insurance dictating things about their treatment.

  • Under this law that went into effect January 1, 2022 you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
